Belt technician Full Time

Role and context  

A belt technician is responsible for the preparation, assembly and finishing of rubber materials used in conveyor belts and other rubber-based products. They use hand tools or machines to cut, splice, and shape rubber, and may help train new workers or perform other related tasks.

Salary 
Between 32,97$/h – 34,97$/h

Required profile  

– Completion of secondary school is usually required
 Tasks
– Lay out and prepare rubber materials for assembly
– Operate machines or equipment or use hand tools to cut, shape, splice, fit and cement rubber materials to form rubber parts or finished rubber products
– Operate finishing machines or equipment to trim, grind, or buff rubber products into final form
– Train or assist in training new workers.
– Any other related tasks.
